Hi Carlos, I think you are right to question this pin. I would not buy it. The SS-ZA pin was a regulated item. Raymond G has made a study of these. I have sent him a link to this item.

    Cheers, Ade.

Red flags all over this one, no offense to the seller ... Whom I'd advise to attempt seeking a refund from place of purchase if bought as genuine, if at all possible.

i dont know why thsi should be fake, i got the set (http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ighlight=pzb14 please see the link) together directly from the familiy.

why should he buy a copy? maybe a "B" pin?

          best regards pzb14

            Hi

There was only two companies authorised to manufacture the SS pins, namely Gahr and Hoffstätter. The sale and distribution of these were tightly controlled by the SS.

If you look at the pin, it just does not stand up to known originals and I would conclude it is a fake, I am sorry to say. The pin assembly itself does not conform to common pins of the period. I actually have the exact type of SS pin as the one shown and the workmanship is not great to say the least.

            Raymond
