The Swastika on these should be red enamel & they were made solely by Steinhauer & Lück. You can find them either with the full S&L printed name or with the transitional form of RZM 63 & finally RZM M1/63.

The fakes have black Swaz's because Hüsken is printed in black & white.......

              Sorry.

The miniscule pin attaching plate and ges-gesch positioning put me off as well. It would be fun to acquire badges by looking at the reverse first. Robert

Dons point in the swastika being black instead of red after the faker copied the b/w pic from huskens catologue intrigues me , would this badge be of the same ilk?

No, this badge is genuine, although the pin has been replaced. It's the membership badge for the National-Sozialistishe Deutsche Arbeiter Partei - Nordschleswigs, an area of South Denmark

Following the war of 1864 the provence of Schleswig-Holstein had been lost by the Danes to Germany, however at the end of WWI the League of Nations organised a vote to determine whether it was to remain so. The Northern area voted to become part of Denmark & the Southern area wished to remain German.

This left a number of Germans living in what became South Jutland (the Germans referring to it as Nordschleswig). In 1935 Jens Møller formed the National-Sozialistishe Deutsche Arbeiter Partei - Nordschleswigs (NSDAP-N).

                      Cheers
                      Don

These turn up more often than you think, most people do not know what they are so overlook them.

The most common version is the unmarked type as shown above, but you can also find them made by C.Kahee, Flensburg & very occasionally Heimburger, Copenhagen.

                              Cheers
