    Hello Martin
I will try to enlighten the Kaiserslautern question. Kaiser Friedrich Rotbart (Barbarossa) decided to have a palatinate (Pfalz) in Kaiserslautern. So the town till now is called "Barbarossastadt".
In the year 1276 Kaiserslautern received the title "Stadt".
So in 1926 Kaiserslautern had their 650th anniversary to be a Stadt and the tinnie was made to remind this event.
    Regards
    Gerdan
