    German eagel orden.

    Hallo,
    find a German eagel Set :
    Neckcross silber :5cm,4 eagel Gold,900,21,fan 1.
    Star (sword) silber: 6 point,7,5CM , 4 eagel Gold,900,21.

    question: is this Set 1 klasse or 2 klasse , 1937 or 1943 ?

    You can't tell for sure. The '1' on the fan is supposed to indicate that it was meant to be the 1st class/Stufe, but after the ranking changed it would have been given as a 2nd class. Without the original box, it's your choice!

      Here's a thread that faded into oblivion.

      Erich, if I'm not mistaken, crosses marked with a "1" were the neck crosses of the 1937 and 1939 edition and referred to as "Erster Stufe". It's counterpart of the 1943 edition was the III. Klasse.
