Question about two tinnies?

I have a question about two Reichskolonialtagung tinnies. I bought one recently and now today I see this other one for sale on e-stand. My question involves how different the one pin looks when compared to the other. I've made it easy by putting the photos of both pins (mine and the one on e-stand) next to each other (one of the left is my pin and the one on the right is on e-stand right now). It is quite obvious the pin on the right (e-stand pin) has a completely different metal color and much softer detailing when compared to the pin on the left. Is this just a matter of the pin on the right having a tougher time over the years or do you think it is another slightly different but original TR example? Or perhaps could it be a post war copy?

Just to add to my earlier post... After looking at them closely for a few minutes they are obviously not the same tinnie (they have some features completely different from one another). So that only leave the options:

- Two different but original tinnie versions?

- One tinnie a post war copy?

I don't think either of these pins represent any type of issue. Simply two different pin types on a fairly common tinnie. The tinnie on the right has suffered due to corrosion and wear.

Thanks Richard, I prob should not have used the word "pin" in my previous post as it's not really the pin/clasp I was talking about. I was using the word pin interchangeably with the word tinnie, as in talking about the entire item. I'm mainly wondering about the tinnie on the right looking like a softer copy of the one on the left. So it's your opinion both tinnies are simply just two different variations and both are original TR period items?

Where could I find more info no this particular tinnie and/or TR organization (any books or websites come to mind - looking around I can find hardly any)?

Could be die wear, or differnt type of metals used

I think it may be that the tinnie on the right has seen considerable wear.
