    NSDAP Party Pin M1/128 ?? HELP !!

    Hello Guys , This is my first post in this arena regarding NSDAP Party Pin marked- M1/128, would appreciate comments on this pin my first question, 1/ Is it original ??, 2/ should this be 23mm or 24mm in diameter, im not sure ?? as my passion is T/R heaggear , this is my first party pin and not real sharp with these pieces, thought i would post here to receive advice and knowlegde from other collectors who have more knowlegde than myself. Thank you

            Really good fake. Whew... I probably would have bought it.
            Looking at the suggested thread, I searched for those 4 points to look for and from my experience, without a micrometer on hand the 1mm difference would be hard to see. It is thicker, making it heavier, also hard to see without one on hand for comparison.
            Close inspection shows the A & L in NATIONAL touching. Hard to tell by pics if there are any 'flecks' in the white field behind the swaz.
            But what saves my a$$ is the oily discoloration that is usually present on the backs of these because of the poor quality metal.
            Any other differences we can look for... IMHO john

              Yep that's a fake one. But I admit it gets worse and more worse. Many (older) fakes are building up patina within a certain time. It's much easier to give advise on some awards with very specific manufacturing characteristics for every maker. The aging of this party pin looks more artificial to me.
