    Blood Order 1st Pattern

This is a 1st pattern Blood Order, #161, awarded to Adolf Fohr of Dr. Weber's Bund Oberland. Two other persons named Fohr also participated in the 1923 Putsch in Munich. This one still possesses some of the original burnishing which gave the award it aged effect. It had been kept in a plastic sleeve for many years.

Thanks to all for the observations and comments.

For those with an interest, there is film on Youtube entitled "Ewige Wache", which chronicles the transfer of those killed in the Putsch to the new Ehrentempel on the Konigsplatz. About midway through the film, there is a nice panning shot of many of the Blood Order holders in a studio setting. I wish the quality of the film was somewhat better, but it's decent nonetheless.
