Frontkämpferbund Stahlhelm badge/pin - help needed

    Hello,

I have had the below National Sozialistische Deutscher Frontkämpferbund Stahlhelm badge for almost a couple of years. Through all my research I have yet to find another example of this specific type of pin and have not been able to find out when and to whom they were issued.

If anyone can tell me more about the badge? I would be very interested.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I've just received some further information on the badge from another source.

The badge is listed in the book - "Deutschland Orden & Ehrenzeichen 1800-1945" by Jorg Nimmergut, under - "Stahlhelm / Bund der Frontsoldaten: 2418/1 kleiner Bundesstern f.d. erweiterten Bundesrat. " They were supposedly a 1934 issue only.

      Can anyone confirm this?

      Mike

As far as I'm aware, these were worn on the cross strap of the Sam Browne belt by the Führer's of the NSDFBSt.

Here's mine for comparison, please forgive my name across it, it's an old image I haven't had time to re scan it.

        Cheers

yes worn on leather strap that went from belt over shoulder and the badge fixed mid upper chest area

i see no major concerns with yours but would like to see a pic with no flash please. if you can weigh it too be great

Chris, thanks for the comments and thanks for posting your badge. The two badges below are also wonderful looking items, the design of the oak leaves badges is just exquisite.

I will take some non flash pictures and post them.

nice pics . two nice badges. one thing to note on these badges is that the black enamal can and is rather crude compared to other enamal work on other various badges
