On the back

It says, "Max Kremhelmer/Vereins-abzeichen/Munchen". This is stamped on a sheet metal backing piece pronged to the front piece and holds on the big brass pin. Any thoughts about the period it may be from? I got it with a bunch of TR stuff from a vets family. Doug
