    Unknown gorgets - help please!

I am helping a family identify and possibly sell some unique items and ask for your assistance. What were these gorgets used for and what is an appropriate value range? Many thanks! Brian

That's a pre-'39 Politisches Leiter (hence the letters "PL"), and as the corner ornaments attest, one of the many of the period derived from the old imperial design. The backwards swastika was just the designer's bright idea of showing the back side of a flag from those poor "kampfzeit" times when many of the flags were cheap affairs and not double-sided. (Actually, this wasn't unheard of in the war years, where many of the printed "kriegsflagge" would display a backwards swastika when viewed from the "rear" side. I'm sure lots of folks on the forum have an example of one of these.)
