Eric With regard to your 2 badges. I am not particularly fond of it for these reasons. Firstly, it lacks an owner's serial number and secondly, the placement of the markings on the reverse seem to be out of position. It may be an un-issued piece however. The other badge is not original. The giveaway is the clipped attaching pin plate used on non-original pieces. I am sorry sir. Have a nice weekend. Robert

      Thanks for your reply!

Concerning the HJ badge, the seller told me it was from a leftover stock from the whermacht.

      Thanks!

          Hi,

The second one is definetely a fake. The Golden HJ badge is indeed completely different from the known setup for M1/120. Never seen this before and I'm not very optimistic about its originality. But I don't dear to judge this badge just by this two pictures alone

The Wehrmacht had nothing to do with the HJ Badge in gold - it was authorized by the HJ and sold through the RZM. I've never seen the set-up on the reverse before. All badges were numbered or marked with a "B" as a 2nd copy for wearing.

The Austrian NSDAP supporter badge is a clear fake - modern puffy enamel, glittery plating, bad back.

The front does look good. I would have thought an unissued badge too if it wasn't for two things:

                1. the back doesn't look like other M1/120 badges
                2. number stamping an enamel badge is very difficult after it is finished - you'll end up cracking the enamel on the other side with the pressure necessary.

"Unissued" versions of this badge were still numbered, since the numbers were consecutive and not related to membership numbers. When they issued one, they just took one out of the finished and already numbered pile and assigned it to someone, and recorded the number that was on it.

                    Hi Guy's

I hate it to do difficult but IMO the dot pattern exactly match with my aceppted original Deumer. Don't know if Stu still has the pictures. I see a positif match but from a 180 degree placed safety pin. I agree that this one has a completely different reverse with the accepted originals but why copy the dot pattern precisely and change the back

                    Regards, Theo

The HJ Honor Award is the hardest f*** badge to discuss if you will discuss it with an open mind. Sometimes I don't think that this badge is not so highly faked as common thought. Why all this so called almost perfect fakes when they can't make a really convinced GPB fake? If you think in terms of money I know what I should do
