Hi Gregory, what you have there is a day badge or 'Tinnie'. These badges were sold at all manner of meetings, rallies, in the streets etc, to raise funds for the 'Party'and come in a multitude of styles.. this particular day badge comes from a series which commemorates various parts of the armed forces and depicts the Standards of these Units.. Your's Is the Standard of the Signal Corps and is marked on the back as such...
I've posted a pic of a few more of series...

    Hope this helps...

They are WHW tinnies-Seem that they were hand painted and sold to help raise fund for the soldiers. One question J Temple-West, is the blue text on brown background a thing that you can change?? Hard to read! Mike

One of the groups that did the hand painting was the Hitler Youth as their contribution to the WHW.

I think that the first posted badge is from a different series, they are a smaller size and note the streamers.

              Neat tinnies!

I think that these flag tinnies are some of the neatest ones.

I have been trying to find some, but the ones I find are either more expensive than I want to pay, or I get outbid on them (on eBay)
