Just got this

Hi all,
Ive just picked this up,its made of solid gold and is very nice I think its also got its original makers box with it.
Opinions would be appreciated.

Hi,

Even when this ring is very nice manufactured it is almost impossible to find someone who can proof it is original pre war made. We can assume that a lot of fortuned people let themself made such rings during the Third Reich period but proof the authenticy is very difficult.

The swastika was a very popular good luck symbol in America from the end of the 1800s through the early days of the Third Reich. I have seen a lot of items similar to this that were American made.

Jagged68, you could look at the swastika; is it different from the rest of the engraving; could be placed later on the signetring ? As far as I can see it from the picture it is ok IMO.

Is there a goldmark inside. Than you know if it is American or German.

The ring is marked 585 and has C H stamped on the inside which im assuming corisponds with the maker as the box it comes in is stamped as C HOLTER.
The swastika looks contempory with the other marks on the ring,im sure it was all done at the same time
