Saar Medal

Hello, I have a Saar medal without ribbon that has been cast in a soft lead alloy of some type but it is still quite heavy. I know that cast medals especially made from a lead base metal should sound off alarm bells straight away, but I have been told that when the Saar region joined the Reich in 1935 there were small cottage businesses producing non-official products to celebrate the occassion. Anyhow I like this medal and I have never seen another one like it in over 15 years of collecting. Have a look and I will look forward to hearing all your opinions on this very interesting medal.
