Luftwaffe ID Badge Opinions and Help Please

    Guys,
I put this on the luftwaffe badge forum but got no responce so I`m hoping someone here can help me. Has anyone ever seen this badge before, what is it exactly, and what kind of value might it have?
    Thanks

John Casino has a similar item on his site. Apparently for "airfield command personnel while on duty" It's rather different than the present badge but may represent the same purpose. Photo below is from John's site (I hope the Prince of Darkness doesn't mind my boosting his photo - if so I'm sure he'll send the hounds after me)

Here's a few more detailed photos. The badge is 40.68mm side to side & 2.10mm thick. As you can see from the angled shots it appears to be some form of sandwiched metal construction having copper type material on the surface with an inner core of a silvery unknown metal.

PS: I notice, searching this maker - Lehmann & Wundenberg from Hannover - they made belt buckles...
