Gold Party Badge on E-Stand- Opinions ?

I just noticed this Fuess Badge for sale on the E-Stand and , I think it needed to be discussed before it’s sold to someone. The lettering was the first red flag and if you check out Steve’s Gold Party Badge site …you can see all the problems–<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

Here is the Badge in question --

Not a good one in my opinion. Lettering and numbering is incorrect.

I hope the seller will read this thread and remove it.

Everyone should keep an eye open for serial # 33300 in case it turns up again years from now.
Too bad we don't have a Data Base or List with known Repro #'s to watch for.

Yes, I'm not even a student of this badge and I see a remarkable difference in the two. Thank you for this site.

This is the best known fake of the Fuess Golden Party badge. There is no doubt: It´s a copy.

No fire glit gold finish or remains thereof on this bad boy. Always a good sign on an original IMO,

Nice catch Mike. Although heartbreaking to the vendor, looking after each other on estand is why I enjoy these forums so much. (Plus I learn a lot from other members)

                    Hello all,

I believe it originally came from this site:

                    http://www.ekmilitaria.com.au/

Then go into the products page. One thing that I noticed, and it is just a feeling; everything on the site is super expensive, but the GPB is not, and that makes me wonder.

I hope he can get his money back on it because ..it's going to be a lot harder for someone to "Turn it" now that that serial number is known.
I wonder when and where we'll see it next ?

Ron is right about the finish ...all of these "Fuess Fakes" (this pattern)seem have that same dull look to them.
I always liked that Las Vegas glitzy Gold finish the fakes use to have ..you could spot them from across the room

Not good! Their is one good thing on the GPB in general: It is just made by two manufactures! Once you know the originals you wil not fooled by a fake

                          Hello Everyone,

Well, as for the sake of the badge, i will remove it as you have already discussed it. Yes, at the moment its not in my hand, but who owns it is a freind of mine, and before I had a few of his stuff put out for sale here, and I dont think there is anything wrong in that, and I also gave his email address too anyway I did not know this wasn`t right, in that case I wouldn`t have put it out.

                          All the best.

Thanks for explaining and for removing it from the "Table" ..and no one is blaming you because it is an easy mistake to make , we know it was not intentional.

As I mentioned before , maybe your friend can kick it back to where he bought it ...hmmm , that would make it "Fuess-Ball" ..always wondered where that came from (ok , no more bad jokes)

Seriously though ..I hope your friend can get his money back.

I bet that would still sell for $50 or more to a Collector who needs a display GPB to pin on a Tunic. I'm afraid to pin an original on when I do a public display ...too easy for someone to lift it and walk away.
