    Enamel WHW 42/43 Shooting Badge

I'm posting an enamel badge I've had for awhile. I'd appreciate any information on it that a member might have. I want to list it on the e-stand but I haven't seen another to give me a fair idea of value. Would anyone care to venture a price range that would make the item a good deal for both the seller and buyer?

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you Terry! Perhaps it is an uncommon example, and that is why no one can offer much advice. If my memory serves, (don't have it in front of me) it is sized between a quarter and half dollar (closer to the quarter, though) and came back with a panzer assault badge and an east front medal.

Anyone else care to add anything? I'd love to know more.

        Great collecting,

        William

I just finsihed looking thru my WHW references and my tinnie references with no luck. It may be just another unknown badge without known resale value that we all have in our collections. Sorry I can't be of more help. Robert

An Illustration of your Badge can be found in the reference Book - Nazi Para Military organizations and their Badges by Ray Cowdery.

Bravo Martin. Does he say anything at all about the badge? Robert

Hello Robert, there is no reference to this particular Badge in the Book other than the photograph. Hence this Book often at times receives undeserved criticism. However there is sufficent information in the Book for one to work out for one self everything about the Tinnies that are featured. If you don't have this Book I strongly recommend getting hold of one. (It has now been re published and is once more available) The last First Edition I had of the Book sold for over $175 via ebay auctions and it was near on'mission impossible' to replace it. Reprint is as good, just in softback not hardback as the original Book is.
                Regards Martin

You can get the reprint of this book for around $20 on Amazon.com.

Thanks Martin, I should have guessed you could find it in a book someplace!

As setting a "fair" value would seem to be an arbitrary affair, I'll see if there is a fellow collector wants to do a trade for this item.
