Although this is very, very rare (or a fantasy piece -- Hartung offers no documentation substantiating this item), this is the second one of these I've seen in 6 months. The other one was marked "M. Stumpf & Sohn, Danzig." I wasn't crazy about that one and I think it's even more unlikely that this one is original. Neither the style of pin nor the marking are particularly characteristic of original Freikorps era awards. The pin style, particularly, is common on modern reproductions of all kinds.
