This superb Tinnie I won via German ebay 3 months back, although I already have two of this badge I could not resist bidding on it. I won it for 14 euro. After sending payment twice to the seller, he has denied receipt of payment twice and now ignores all emails I send, as usuall when things get technical ebay have washed their hands of it regarding the unreceived item dipute I opened against this seller. It appears to me it is a blatant case of he does not want to let the Badge go for what price it acheived in Auction. If there was a hall of shame this guy should be in it Has anyone else had similar experience ?? if so it might be same seller. I have done hundreds upon hundreds of deals over the net and this is the first cheat I have encountered

Hall of shame
Sorry to hear that, epier is a dangerous place & far deeper water's than swimming in ebay's ocean . In my particular case to me it is blatantly obvious he was not going to let me have the Badge for 14 euro. Which makes it an utter discrace altogether. Most of his tinnies made average 50 ++ euro's each with that one slipping through the net

Hi Martin,
A striking tinnie indeed: alas, I no longer own an example of this.
As to losing your money, whilst far from good, you should consider yourself lucky.
A once respected member of this forum (now suspended or expelled - can't remember which), as a favour to me, agreed to buy some items on my behalf from a US dealer who would not mail outside of the States.
However, it transpired that said forum member (Vadim K if anyone is interested) elected to keep my goods, once he'd paid for them (with my money). Of the items, one piece was a rather rare Assoc. of German Peoples in America badge. Vadim commented at the time of my request as to what a scarce badge this was and how he was surprised he'd missed it himself! Total loss: $500.
Best,
Toby.

Hello Toby, yes I have heard similar horror stories to yours. But thankfully most WAF mebers and indeed most ebay sellers too have great integrity. I am sure from your perspective also it is not just about the loss of the item or the money but the principal. In my particular case sending the money twice to the seller makes it virtually conclusive evidence that he is lying about payment not been received. Money lost in post once perhaps twice never I have sent Hundreds upon hundreds of payments to both Austria and Germany and most ebayers integrity is second to none, with not one single payment been lost (up until this ebay seller) The time I have wasted with emails that get ignored is further evidence, but ebay are less than useless at dealing with these cheats. I would leave hima negative feedback via ebay but would need 1000 words plus to warn people about this seller. As you can see Toby the Badge speaks volumes why he cheated me he would not honour the final auction price it's the only explanation) Perhaps a name & shame on WAf would be good to warn other collectors, although I don't always belive it is the right policy other buyers/collectors need warning about such disgraceful sellers.
Regards Martin
