    ID This Odd Tinnie

I bought a 1941 Rumanian anti-communist medal recently and it had not only the wrong ribbon but this unusual tinnie attached. Unusual to me at least. I think the blue bead is made of glass. Is the emblem a Christian cross or an anchor? 3 pics. Thanks, Ammersee

Hello, your 'Tinnie' is from the Winterhilfswerk des deutschen Volkes 1937/1938. It is one from a set of twelve. I will locate a reference Book and post a picture illustrating the set of twelve. The ribbon as I am sure you know is for the West Wall Medal.

This tinnie is indeed from a set of twelve zodiac pins sold by the WHW this one is for the month of December the sign represents Sagittarius.

Thanks gents. Now it makes sense. The blue bead is the "gemstone" for December I'd guess. Ammersee
