    Mother Crosses

    Hi

I think these are OK, what do you think?

    Cheers

I think they are ok, even though the swaz doesnt touch in the Silvers ones circle. I think that theory was urban legend. I have never seen a fake MC and can see why the fakers wouldnt mess with enamel to produce such a low cost item in my opinion. This applies to MCs, 25 yr True Dienst crosses,40yr crosses and some other items like that. That is just me, make your own judgements.

      Mc

I have to agree they look period examples, the way the Silver one has naturally oxidised over the years from my perspective makes it a more desirable Mother's cross. Most fakes of the MC's encountered, the speckeled blue enamel is normally the big give away of the later fake MC's, the modern maufacturer's cannot seem to get it exactly right. Earlier copies were easier to detect as in some cases enamel was literally just resin.

          Both are genuine.

But dear münster, never make the mistake that they not try to copy simply and realtiv cheap enamel awards! They copy just everything!! and sometimes is the quality of the enamelwork exeptional

It looks like someone just took a ball point pen and used it to write the stuff on the back in that last one while the metal was still soft.
