How do you display your collection of pins and badges?

    Hi Guys,

I have got quite a large collection now of pins and tinnies and badges from different areas .... at the moment they are all still in drawers and boxes and I want to start to mount them in some nice way during next year to put them on display around the walls of my office and I am looking for inspirations and practical tips on how best to go about doing that... so, how do you display your collection????

    Cheers, Torsten.

Hi Peter, thank you for showing .. that big brown frame looks very nice. What are the medals mounted on? Do you use some sort of foam or similar with cloth stretched over it? Cheers, Torsten.

The glassed case was made by my brother, he really knows how to work with wood. Like you say, I've used 3-4 cm foam rubber and folded the cloth over it. Stickpins will adjust nicely with the tender pressure from the glass. I've been thinking back and forth about how to solve the problem with metal buttons and think I've might come up with a sollution i.e. use some heat source to burn out cavities in the foam, fitting the button and leaving just the decoration levelled with the surface. It just might work

          cheers
