SA Ski tinnies + SA day pins, Efoplast pressed paper

Hi all,

I just got 4 nice SA tinnies in. All of them are from Saxony state. I wonderd what they might be worth as I havnt found any similiar ones for sale.
Can you give me any insight ?

I might be a little high but I think the 2 ski tinnies would be in the $65 - $75 range, the Chemnitz would be about $40-$50 and the Sachsen would be $50-$60

I would agree with the price range. They're not common, but the paper examples go for less than the metal type. Very nice grouping!

This is some thing that i dont understand the price on tinnies that are manurfactur off paper leather and wood are cheaper then they of metal regards tomas

In alot of cases, the metal tinnies are more sought after then the wood, paper or leather tinnies, even though I`ve seen some beautifull tinnies made from all three. Its just what people want and that dictates the price

..the two colourful SA Ski-treffen 'tinnies' that are featured here, one has a string attachment, is that original?

..and the other is missing a needle, would that have been glued on as per other 'Efoplast' style of tinnies?

If you look close on that one that dont have a pin you can see the glue like the one with string attachment

They look a nice and unusual set of tinnies you have.

I am not sure about the numbers manufactured of pressed card tinnies, but due to their nature, you would think that not as many survived, or survived in good condition.

I can see why metal tinnies are more desirable, but these are very nice designs you have.

Alot of them did survive but to a much lesser degree of condition, as one would expect with cardboard, paper or leather. I have a preference to the cardboard ones as well, especially the ones with such vibrant colors and detail as these.
