Hello everyone,
I'm considering another Golden Party Badge to add to my collection. I currently have a 25mm size Deschler in excellent condition, and I'm now considering adding a 30mm to go with it. The one I'm looking at looks good to me, from what I can see, and from what I know. I have studied these badges a lot, since my last purchase. However, I always like to get a second opinion, when possible, especially since these things are so expensive. The last opinion I got for my small one was right on with accuracy, and I truly appreciate everyone's advice on that too. It's a great one, and totally authentic, of course! So, here's a link to the one I'm considering now:

In examining this one, I notice that the some of the details on the right side of the badge are in shadow, making it difficult to check some of the letter formations, etc. I also don't see one of the die flaws that was said to exist in these larger sized badges in another thread on this forum. It is described to be a line that progresses from the 12:00 position of the badge, below the leaves, moving clockwise around the badge. However, the inability to see that could be that it just can't be seen in these photos. In case you are not familiar with this discussed flaw, and in case you are interested, here's a link to the page with the details and photos of that (The photo of the flaw I mentioned is visible in that last photo posted by MikeP.):

I also see a bit of possible greenish discoloration around the top of the badge, below the leaves. I'm also not sure if this is normal or even possible on a fire-guilded badge, as this is. However, I also realize that this could simply be something on the surface of the badge, although it is then odd that it would not have been removed.
Also, please let me know your opinion about the price of this one for it's condition. It does appear to be in excellent condition, for sure, and that's also what I need to go with the small one I currently have.
Finally, does anyone have experience with this particular dealer--Grenadier Military Antiques. Opinions about that could also have some effect on my decision.
Thanks in advance to all who may respond. As usual, your help is greatly appreciated!
P.S. I've also considered holding out for one of the 30mm's with the military style pin. About how much more expensive do you expect one with that type of pin to be, and how difficult are those to find?
