    Tinnie Prices!

There was a thread a week or so ago about a rather pricey tinnie and why it was so high. It appears that the days of cheap tinnies are gone.Check out this link on Epier. I have not dealt with this person and he does have a lot of items, some bad but not all. After seeing his prices, I am thinking about insuring my tinnie collection....

I think I need to start selling my tinnie collection if this one brings $42.

"Tinnie" prices are rising here in England too. Unfortunately this has caught the attention of "fakers" and what I never ever thought possible - - - there are copies of the humble "tinnie" being offered around. Some are very well done - - so it seems that no area of collecting is safe anymore !

This guys tinnies are there week after week with silly reserves, this is a very rare sale. I'm finding plenty at reasonable prices (in fact almost too many)
        Regards,

Pete Almost too many but not quite. I think we here, especially those in America, are feeling the full brunt of the weak dollar now. American dealers are now adjusting their prices to make the dollar here catch up. I basically have resorted now to flea markets, garage sales, and estate sales whenever possible. I saw a tinnie that interested me just this past Friday on a popular dealers website. Tinnie cost $37 shipping 10 Euros total cost $51 and change!! This too will pass and hopefully the goodies will start flowing East to West again. Robert

            ...Pete & Robert...

...for a really silly example of high prices, just look at the first SA tinnie on this dealers list....$335.00 !!!! The same badge costs 35 Euros - 45 Euros approx in Germany....
