    Unmarked DLR

    Hello!
I have just a simple question; when my Gradfather died in 74, I got all his medals and awards. He had a bronze DLR, which according to pictures, he always wore on the tunic.

It is unmarked. Almost all DLRs I have seen seems to have markers mark, like "Wernstein Jena" etc. How common are the unmarked ones?

    Best wishes,
    Björn

    DLR - Variants

Hello Björn, although unmarked examples of the DLR Sports Badge do exist and are arguably not as common to find, commercially they are usually sold at similar price to the maker marked examples such as the common maker marked examples such as L.CHR.LAUER NURNBERG and H. WERNSTEIN. The scarcer to find are by makers such as Eugen Marcus of Berlin etc.

      Hi,

you could not find a DRL sports badge with EUGEN MARCUS, that is only on DRA sports badges.

      Regards
      Uwe

        Dra

Hello Uwe, well pointed out and yes you are quite correct I realised my mistake that it is a DRA maker. To confirm this I checked out my DRA Abzeichens.

          Hello!

Thank you Martin for the reply! I certainly know they excist, since I have one. But strangely enough, I have only seen those marked.
So I can conclude that it is not too common, then?

          Regards,
          Björn
