DRL Badge Wernstein Jena Advice Please?

Hi All,
I have recently aquired a DRL badge by the above maker and am seeking opinions about it. I am not sure whether this badge has started life as a silver or bronze version. Did this maker produce any badges that had a washed bronze finish? This badge has a brass catch/hinge/pin assembly but the remainder of the badge has a dulled silver grey appearance. The badge measures 47.5mm x 38.5mm approx. but weighs lighter than normal - around 14gms by my scales. The base metal is not magnetic. Opinions please?

I believe these where produced in the mid 40’s when they were using cheaper zinc like materials for their badges. I have two like this one is for the war wounded bronze washed wreath with silver washed monogram and one like yours.

Would you assume by the reverse it is definitely a bronze version?
