    Fördernde Mitglieder der SS

Hello i am new here so i would like to say hello to all of you.
I have this badge, on the back there is RZM mark and also M1/133, now i cant find the maker nr 133 anyone know? also on the back is the number of the recipient 2148.
Few months ago i saw a badge at Helmut Weitze with the same RZM codes
M1/133 and the price there was 750E.

A while back i heard that these were fakes as no maker #133 existed?

    Can someone help?

It's a fake. These were never RZM marked.

I'm afraid Erich is correct. Dealers make mistakes & sometimes sell fakes.

          Cheers

Ok thank you all for your input. But there is 1 thing i am wondering about and that
is the RZM M1/ codes does anyone know why there is a gap from #130-136 in the list that i got, 131,132,133,134,135 are missing one would think that the nazis would have had the numbers in the correct order.

The RZM issued M licenses in batches. They may release 10 at a time, but only have 8 actual licenses to issue, so numbers X8 and X9 are unissued until they go back and back-fill. Sometimes they didn't get around to it.

M1/130 belonged to Grossmann & Co., Inh. Lorenz Hoffstätter & L. Siefener, Vienna - the first of the Austrian numbers, making it 1938, but the next Austrian one wasn't until M1/146 with German companies in between. So something administratively must have happened to the RZM people that stopped them from continuing to issue Austrian licenses for a brief period - hence, a gap.

By the way, all the comments about the SS-FM badge are correct.

                  Hi

Here is an image of an original FM honour badge for you for reference.

I think the one you have shown was manufactured in the 1980's and was either made in Belgium or England. My memory eludes me at the moment.

Thank you for all the explaining. I can see the difference in the letters on the front of the badge, they are much better readable in yours Raymond. Well it´s good to have this cleared up.

Also always check to make sure the letters "I.D." in the bottom wording do not touch the silver edge. In fakes they are usually attached.

Stephen & P Wasteels are quite correct with their observations.

The back of the fake items are so bad that you should never get conned with this type of badge, if you remember that there were no RZM marks on these.

Equally, they did not just stamp a number on the back either, as with the other common fake honour pin.

The front of the badges are usually horrific too, but just remember about the back and you should be fine
