Toten Tatenruhm tinnie - what was it for?

Anyone know what this "Ewig bleibt der Toten Tatenruhm" tinnie was issued for? I know what it means, but what event or otherwise did this tinnie commemorate, and what is the significance of the 25 July 1934 and 1938 date? The only thing I can find related to 25 July 1934 is that Engelbert Dollfuss, Austrian Chancellor, was assassinated by Austrian Nazis on that date. Is 1938 connected to the Anchluss?

I found the tinnie in Tieste and the old Manions books (Vol 3), but the only info is that it's a memorial badge to the early martyrs of the Party (Manions).

I found quite a few Google hits, but some look to be by/about neo-Nazis using the phrase...

    Thanks,
    Greg

Hi Greg, as you already suggest I can only think it is to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the Dollfuss assisination?? Cheers, Torsten.
