Gausieger Badge ??? Real or fake

looks ok to me ,looks like the catch is abit bend out of shape (cant see it very good)

this badge i my favorite and i never seen a fake one yet (apart from the 1942 Gausieger which is a fantasy )

This one looks pretty good. The only tiny, tiny quibble I'd have is that the pin appears to run a bit longer than usual.

There are repros that are quite good (often including a not so authentic repro case). The copies have had enamel that's closer to white than the creme of the originals. However, this can be tough to detect unless you've looked at a number of originals. Another point of reference is the cement used to fasten the eagle. The originals usually used a material that looked like a black gummy cement. It might have been metal that darked oddly, but I've never seen it except by peeking behind the eagle on a good badge (somebody needs to pry the eagle off a good one . . . easy guys, just joking!). Repros appear to use more conventional metal solder, though I did see an early copy that used telltale epoxy.

By the way, the picture shows a Kreissieger, not a Gausieger as stated in the thread title. That, of course, makes a big difference in the value.

I agree with Richard, all the Aurich badges I have seen have pin of that length.

in good condition a Kreissieger will go for about 180 and 200 Euro

there is one for sale at Ruptured Duck for 350$ but that is way over the top IMO
