As far as im concerned the tinnie number 7 is from a WWI veterans organization. Maybe somebody more experienced could tell you more about it.

Regarding tinnie number 2, check this thread:

#6 is actually 2nd pattern Frauenschaft
#7 is a Stahlhelmbund membership badge. The iron cross means the wearer was a veteran and not a non-veteran supporting member.

Hello David, yes It is a second pattern I have been so inundated with work I made an error. This information should help the confusion regarding this Badge
            1. NSF Membership Pins, (a) Standard, and (b) for members of the “Women’s Order of the Red Swastika” (c) for young women in the National Sozialistische Jung-Mädchenschaft (girls below the qualifying age for entry in the NSF): <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O /><O:P></O:P>
            (a) The standard pin came in two sizes: medium and small. It had a triangular shape, with a very slight arch (like a shield). The triangle had a very narrow silver border edge, and a silver colored bar across the top with red letters reading: “N.S. Frauenschaft” (in Fraktur – gothic – font). The rest of the triangle was filled with glossy black enamel around a “sunwheel” swastika and beneath this an eolh” rune <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = V /><V:SHAPE id=_x0000_i1026 style="WIDTH: 9.75pt; HEIGHT: 21.75pt; mso-wrap-edited: f" wrapcoords="-1350 0 -1350 20945 21600 20945 21600 0 -1350 0" o:allowoverlap="f" type="#_x0000_t75"><V:IMAGEDATA gain="69719f" src="file:///C:/WINDOWS/TEMP/msoclip1/01/clip_image003.jpg" o:title="EOLH Rune"></V:IMAGEDATA></V:SHAPE>(the runic letter “X”) rendered in silver. <O:P></O:P>
            (b) The Women’s Order of the Red Swastika was a triangular metal pin, slightly arched, showing a white enamel cross on a glossy black enamel background, with a red swastika at the center of the cross and nickel silver letters “G”, “H”, “L” on the cross arms and foot (in gothic font). A white band runs across the top with the words “NAT. SOZ. FRAUENSCHAFT” in silver, Roman font. This type of pin has various markings on the back ranging from “Ges. Gesch.” (Patented), to an RZM mark and maker code or a maker’s name. The large version of this pin is in fact the largest pin of any type used by any sub-agency of the NSF. The pin also came in a medium-size and a small-size version.

1st pattern as follows (sunwheel swatika)

David on reflection I did not actually make a mistake, we both did! the sunwheel version of the Frauenschaft Badge was in production from from 1939-1940 and the order of the red cross version first in 1933. And in actual fact neither are first patterns or second as the first Frauenschaft pattern (1933) was totally differnet been nearly identical in shape and size to the NSDAP standard party membership Badge. Which actually proves us both wrong.

Actually the "Order of the Red Swastika" was a different badge, with all red enamel and "Rotes Hakenkreuz" at the top. These are ordinary NS Frauenschaft badges. There is a photo here:
                http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/forums...472#7480003472

You'll also see the earlier round red badge (1st pattern), the black and white cross (2nd pattern) and the sunwheel version (3rd pattern), plus all the officials' grades with coloured borders denoting operational level, and 3rd patterns with eagle instead of sunwheel.

Hello, regarding the first second and third type patterns my information is based on refernce books by Kurt -GA. Klietmann & Rudofl Kahl. Regarding the ns - frauenschft bages the grade levels is nothing to do with pattern types. Here is an example of one and below is a list of the grades.

                  Organization of the NSF

The first organisation was in fact the Deutsches Fraunwerk ) German women's welfare organisation) the "Nat.Soz.Frauenschaft" (National Socialist Womens- organisation) which was formed by absorbing the Deutsches Fraunwerk and the "Deutscher Frauenorden" (German Women's order), into a single national organisation. The first pattern frauenschaft members Badge followed the design of the earlier "Deutscher Frauenorder" Badge, as introduced in the mid 1920's, with minor variations. In 1938 the first pattern Badge was replaced with a modified second pattern member's Badge, which followed the design of the earlier "Deutsches Frauenwerk Badge.

The "Type 1" Nazi Frauenschaft badge was a round party-type badge made only in 1933 by Osang / Dresden.

Various women's organizations used triangular badges before then, and the "Deutscher Frauenorden" used the triangle with white and black cross design pre-1933. It also incorporated an imperial crown above a red swastika. It appears to have been one of many small women's organizations that eventually merged into the NSF.

This is basically the same design as is referred to as the Type II Frauenschaft badge (in use 1934-1938).

The "Type III" Frauenschaft badge (1939-45) is the all black shield with the sunwheel and rune. Officials had the sunwheel replaced by an eagle, and, like the Type IIs, used a coloured border or "Umrand" to denote an official's organizational level - blue=Orts / black (later white) = Kreis / red=Gau / golden yellow= Reich.

The Frauenschaft and Frauenwerk were two separate organizations. The NS Frauenschaft was an actual Nazi Party organization under itts direct control (Gliederungen der NSDAP). The Frauenwerk was more of a civil organization farther removed from the NSDAP hierarchy as a "Supervised Organization" (Betreute Organisationen).

The best description of the Frauenschaft badges is in JR Cone, "one People, One Reich".
