Identification Help Please

Acquired a small group from a local veteran yesterday which included a number of badges and belt buckles.

Was able to easily identify all but two of the badges and would really appreciate some help from our well informed members.

Don't know about the one with three Moors' heads, but the party-style badge is for the National Socialist Freedom Party.

The Nationalsozialistische Freiheitspartei, or NSFP was created in April 1924 in the aftermath of the Munich Putsch. Hitler and many Nazi Party leaders were jailed after the attempted coup and the Nazi party was outlawed in what came to be known as the "Time of Struggle". The remaining Nazis formed the NSFP as a legal means of carrying on the party and it therefore included the same members and ideology as the Nazi party.

In the May 1924 elections the NSFP/FM won 32 seats in the Reichstag. General Erich Ludendorff and former Sturmabteilung head Ernst R******246;hm were among the winning candidates. However, in December 1924 the party lost 18 of these seats. Included in this party was the similarly reformed and renamed Frontbann, which was a legal alternative to the SA. On February 27, 1925 the Nazi party was reformed after the ban expired in January and Hitler was released form prison; the NSFP/FM was then reabsorbed into the Nazis. (Wikipedia)

I can only imagine how few of these have survived to this day. Stephen, was there any mention of membership numbers? Another thing that pleases me personally is the fact that my early unmarked NSDAP membership badge has exactly the same attaching pin and plate. Nice. Have a nice weekend. Robert

I read in Kater's book on the Nazi Party that the NSDAP had about 54,000 members when it was disbanded in late 1923. I imagine only a fraction joined the NSFP - just the hard core members. I'll keep looking for an actual number.

Haven't seen either of those and and interesting read on the NSFP badge. I did a search on flags in the blue white and blue and I keep seeing it as a signal flag so maybe something involving that???

Maybe even better - old coat of arms of the Swiss canton Jura. Could only find this in German Google. Look down about 2/3 of the way "Die Mohren in der Schweiz".

Still have not been able to positively identify the second pin, and with Curt's help have been searching that way, but still no definite conclusion.

Anyone else have one?
