Is This HJ Erweiterte Kinder Land Verschickung a Tinnie or Badge

Hi Chris,
This badge is listed in Detlev's last book, and he states that it is still uncertain as to wether it is a portable award or just a service badge. IMO it is a tinnie for the events and the award was only on paper.(The document is also illustrated)
As to the plastic type, no idea, but I read somewhere that many tinnies are being reproduced in plastic, even though they were never originally made in this material. I would have expected a plastic version of this to be silver also.

Hello Chris, plastic versions do exist and most certainly are classed as Tinnies, there is a metal version illustrated in Reinhard Tieste's "Katalogue der Tagungs - und versantalttungs -Abzeichen 1930-1945 on page 97 of the book. Are they maker marked Seiper & sohne below the pin assembly?

Hi Martin, what title does Tieste put on this badge as I can't find it in my 2006 (2 volume) catalogue.

Pete I found it in my Tieste book on page 147 under DJ 00-01 But its listed in only metal
