    Do you feel this is real?

    My wife inherited this from her great uncle's estate. It came along with several other items that appear to be war souvenirs. We know her uncles served in Italy and western Europe during WWII. I apologize, but the second photo, of the reverse, doesn't really show that this is a hollow "pressed" item. (Not sure of the correct terminology?)

    If this is not the correct place to post, please let me know.

    Hello I am not an expert. So this is just an opinion.The one thing I noticed was that it looked like the pin had been repaired. Also that there was no marks or stamps? I do belive this is a good peice .But these thing would worry me if I were if I was looking at it as a purches.Best regards.

      Small eagle pin like this were worn by civilian employees of the Wehrmacht and wouldn't be marked.

            I agree its Kriegsmarine for sure! Civilians in armed forces service pin is different! Nick
