4 Tinnies

found these tinnies in my 'old stuff box'. Any idea, any comments. I'm not into those at all and have no idea what they are.

I'll take a stab at it

Upper left: Schlageter Day tinnie (Albert Leo Schlageter, a French occupation troop-fighting Nazi martyr. The French executed him for sabotage during the Ruhr occupation. The Cross depicted on the tinnie is a representation of the monument the Germans put up to him. I don't think he was a Nazi himself, but he made good propaganda for the National Socialists).

Upper right: Winter Relief Fund donation tinnie, this one from Gau Franken/Hesselberg, 1935. This one is missing it's pinback.

Lower left: 1935 Labor Day (Tag der Arbeit) tinnie.

Lower right: NSBO event tinnie. says roughly that in the future the aristocracy will spring from the efforts of the common laborer - "labor = aristocracy"...or "There will be from now on only one aristocracy, the aristocracy of work!" or something like that.

These were all given in return for donations to different causes during one- or two-day events or festivals.

Is there any collectors value into these? Since I don't collect tinnies, maybe I can make somebody happy. Any idea about the value?

I'd go:

$30-35 each for the Schlageter and the Hesselberg jobs if they had their pins. In this shape... ?? not much value. $10 maybe. $10 also on the Labor Day tinnie since the pin is cruddy. NSBO, $30. it's pretty nice looking.

I have all four of these, coincidentally!

By the way, I've a second opinion on the Hesselberg tinnie. The shape of the eagle and the flame made me think "WHW" at first. I think now it is not; rather another event tinnie for the NSDAP.

it says "Frankentag' which basically means day of the franks. I don't think that there was ever a pin attached which is really odd. But I don't know anything aaabout those anyway...
I'm sorry that you have those already. Could have made you happy. Oh well..

Dietrich, In this case the Frankentag refers to the Gau (district) Franken and the city of Hesselberg. I have never seen this pin as a casting it's usually just a hollow stamped tin pin.
