Nice little button you have there although it's not "NS" at all.

It's a button for the Iceland Steamship Company "Eimskipafjelag Íslands" (Íslands is the Icelandic spelling for Iceland).

Here is a picture of their head office, still with the Hakenkreuz, used since circa 1913.

      Cheers
      Don

          Eimskip

Unfortunatelly, some tourists, including a Jewish man complained about this swastika on the building. The Eimskip company now has moved to a new building and the old building turned into a hotel, hence the swastika has now been covered up, but due to how old the building is, they were by law not allowed to destroy it!

          Regards

          Hinrik

yea, they instead put up the hotel logo at front to cover the Eimskip logo, like WWII collector said, it's not destoyed.
            .

They did not start and lose the biggest war in world history and did not commit genocide under the sign of the swastika .... Cheers, Torsten.

                Icelandic NS Membership pin

Here is a real example from my collection. Þjóðernishreyfing Íslendinga (wich means the Icelandic nationalist socialist party) These are extremely rare and I know of three other examples here in Iceland at the moment. I will not post the reverse for the fakers out there.

Question to Don Scowen. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that you have original Icelandic party pin also? but not in stick pin form?

                  Best Regards Thorsteinn.

Hi Thorsteinn, you are partly correct.

Yes I have an original party pin, but mine is also a stickpin. I disguised the photo that you have most likely seen on GMIC because at that time I had never seen another, & wanted to stop the fakers getting too much information

                    Cheers
                    Don
