    Olympic Badge Opinoins Please

    This is the other badge that I was told was not real. Could I get opinions on this please.

        1936 Olympic Badge Opinion . . .

        It is certainly well made. Look at the enamel and workmanship.

        Although I beleive this may be an authentic pattern badge it it difficult to tell if this particular example is original to the period. I have never seen one with a marking like that.

        Some years ago a bunch of these turned up with the Berlin Maker mark "A. Stubbe" I beleive.

        I was able to contact the Stubbe family and they were able to confirm that their factory existed and indeed manufactured badges and insignia for the 1936 Olympics. But they could not provide detailed information because all their records were destroyed when the factory was bombed near the end of the war.

          Diane, this badge is quite well made, the lettering is actually inlaid into the badge. What kind of value would this badge hold? And this badge is concave as well
