        SS tinnie

        JanXX,
Originally when Manions published his books on tinnies this was listed as a reproduction, imported from Holland back in the late 1970`s, however, Reinhard Tieste`s book lists it as real with a price of 40 euro, which by todays standards would come to roughly $100.00, with appreciation and whatnot. I can`t say if its real or not, but when there is a shadow of a doubt,I`d go with the reproduction side until proven otherwise. Sorry

Hello I can't say if it's real, but I use to have a repo back in the early 70's. It was marked with SS runes in a diamond. I got rid it when I found out that mark never existed on anything original.

                Hello friends!

I buy all your 100$ notes for 40 Euro each.

I once emailed Manions to ask why they were selling this badge on their site, when their Tinnie books stated that it was a fantasy piece ? Their reply was that the previous badges they had seen had all been hollowbacks, whereas this example was a better made solid back which they judged to be original. Hmmmmm !!
