    Is this Dealer legit?

I just found this dealer on ebay and his website and was wondering if he sells real stuff. He has all kinds of hard to find stuff and writes in improper english like he's from czech or poland.

here is his ebay name so you can put it in the ebay search box then click on his store......... joannem2816

(his feedback is great, but if you carefully read them, they are mostly him being the buyer and not a seller, and the stuff he does sell through ebay is none of the rarer items of interest that you'd want like from his own website. Now he says on his website that he will offer any item through ebay for your protection, but I could not find any interesting items he sold through ebay. (but it's hard to go back more than a few weeks so maybe he did sell something good on ebay)

    anyone dealt with him? thanks.

    and here is his website.

The site is new to me but upon checking it out that was my gut reaction as well. Some historical background information on a site selling genuine items is OK but any site such as this one, with such a massive excess of said information alongside purportedly 100% original German medals, helmets, etc. for sale reads like a "hook" for enticing would be buyers, or to put it more bluntly, an attempt to "blind them with bull****!"

Nice to see he's using my site to sell his fakes. Hopefully someone will click through to my fakes gallery page and see his GPBs are terrible $15 junk badges.

You may pay more but if you do business with those dealers and individules who stand behind their products you will sleep well at night. You get what you pay for! Best, Erich

Yeah, I noticed that he quickly set up that authentification site..... what a freaking joke.

so those Golden Party Leader badges, he has two for sale, are they both the high quality museum grade replicas? so he paid 300 bucks for those and it looking to make 500 dollars profit from?

by the way, where the hell can I get real golden party badges? do you guys go to some kind of shows like gun shows or something? who are the good dealers that you can sleep well at night over?

The military style GPB is a cheap fake you can get anywhere on the web for $20. The safety pin back on with the maker name on the pinplate is a very good quality fake made to deceive. They are rarely sold into the collectors' market as fakes at a fake's price. When they first came out people were snapping them up for real GPB prices.

The advice above is good. Unless you are connected to the advanced collector community, best to buy from the reputable dealers. Even the honest non-specialist dealers often make mistakes with the current GPB fakes sometimes.
