Rotes Kreuz Hilferin badge - fake?

Hello guys,

I have come across this badge. Is it real or do you think it's fake.
It seems to be genuine especially due to the missing pin on the
back, the speckling and what seems like real aging. The cracks
in the enamel on the cross also seem real.

Hi,

Catch and hinge look typical to me. The greenish residue is from the copper in the alloy were the badge is made of. The copper reacts on the enviremont and oxidazed. I have seen the mm before but cannot remember were. It's a good one.

What would you guys estimate the value of this badge to be, given its condition? Would 20 USD be a fair price to pay?

From my rusty German, I think that my badge is simply someone who helped out, a volunteer (not a nurse). Your badge applies to nurses, i.e. people with qualifications.

Both badges are for Nurse's Helper's, your badge is a postwar Senior Helper's Active Service Brooch and Jan's badge is a TR period Helper's Active service Brooch.

There are four more days left and nobody is bidding. It should not go over 20 USD becuause militaria tends to be cheaper down here.

Actually, I have one that is almost identical (although with some missing enamel ).
