Hi Everyone,
Below is a photo showing one of the highlights of my own collection: a grouping to a 2 times, German Youth Champion, or Jugendmeister.
The grouping is to a member of a very successful BDM Hockey team from Gebiet "Hessen-Nassau": national youth champions, both in 1941 and 1942.
The grouping includes the award docs for '41 and '42, as well as a Gebiet Sieger-Urkunde for '43. Of note the '41 and '42 docs are signed in ink by Axmann.
I also have about 12 photo albums to this person (as well as other bits and pieces): mostly post-war though (she continued to play after the war's end). The album shown below documents the two championships as well as her qualifying games.
And then there's a 1942 Jugendmeister badge.
Anyway, I've been meaning to make a photo of this grouping for some time now and today finally found the time to do so. Although the grouping featured in my article earlier this year in Military Advisor, this is its first appearance on the web.
Hope you like it.
All the best,
Toby.
