Very nice piece you have, There just aren't that many SS tinnies around I also couldn't find it in any of my books

Nice looking piece; I think most of us would say that authentic SS tinnies are on the rare side compared to other subject groups...

This one is listed on page 351 of Tieste's volume 1 (A-K). It's listed as worth a 100 Euro's vs most other Jena pieces which are generally 20-25 Euro's.... hope that helps....

SS Standarte 47...

seems to have been formed on April 20th, 1933 (Hitler's birthday). It was based in Jena, and it's first commander was a certain SS-Sturmbannführer Dr. Klipp. Why a "banner march" on May 14th of the same year is beyond my immediate knowledge. Perhaps a "coming out" party?

I don't generally collect SS tinnies as fakes of them abound moreso than with the non-SS day- and event badges and festival pieces. This one looks good, though, and one I would happily have in my collection. Nice!
