could a couple of the experts look at this badge a gau enssen I got it for 20 us and if real worth 200 us. opinions needed.

That looks like an original example of the Gau Essen tinnie (usually made of light metal alloy)--unfortunately, it's not worth 200.00 but usually sells for 35.00 to 40.00.

Gau Essen

Sorry, I was using Forman's book, page 260, where he calls these the 'common rally badge'. I believe these were available to anyone who wanted to purchase them to commemorate the 10 year anniversary celebration of the Gau--since it was a purchased piece rather than an award, I referred to it as a tinnie.
I think the confusion is that these lightweight tinnies were mistakenly thought to be the actual Gau awarded pieces, which are very rare and expensive.
Unless I'm reading it incorrectly, it looks like Bill's got his listed for $110.00 rather than 200.00.
I'm not a tinnie expert, but I've seen many more of these aluminum badges than of the actual award types (which are smaller and have a different type of pin).

thanks eric. 110 it is from bill. now if you would help me with the badge type, so there was a gau badge that was given by the goverment correct? then a seperate private purchase piece?? what catigory does this one fall in to compared to bills. mine looks a lot like bills. is that the price that it should be worth about a hundred. us. ? It looks original compared to bills. stewerts is 200 but he is high on his items. looking forward to learning about this badge. at twenty i think i did ok then.
