I try and collect variations of the Traditions badge as well. Though I do not own an example like yours (hint,hint) I see nothing wrong with it. My experiance has shown me that there are dozens and dozens of mfg's of these pins. I believe I did see a similar base plate like yours being sold at authenticmilitaria some time ago but I missed it. Nice pins....
