The tornister is certainly old, probably from before 1939. I like it! I have never seen markings like that in a Tornister but it seems possible that the markings are real. I believe that civil organizations of the party did have stocks of tornisters. I read an account where a young girl in the HJ is given a tornister to use for a group trip to a HJ camp. Presumably the Tornister would have to be returned after the trip, I know HJ members had to buy their own equipment. It is an interesting Tornister in any event.
