Unusual Nsdap badge

I have just been reviewing the Nsdap membership badge database at the top of this forum page, and have noticed on post #189 by Luft62 a party badge I too own. It seems to be a bit out of the ordinary and I was wondering if any more info has come to light about it.
Any help would be appreciated.

yep, sure is unusual, looks like a pre rzm badge on the front. looks perfectly ok though.

This is my opinion is one of those badges that will always stirrup controversy as to is it's authenticity while the badge itself displays a large amount of good features like the quality of the enamel work, the natural aging and the fonts used are all indicative of early badges but the one reverse marking that's going to turn a lot of collectors off is the M1. used instead of M1/ in the RZM license number now I have seen badges with just the # 6 or even .6. as an example and excepted as authentic. So the bottom line here is if your happy with it great as it is a nice looking badge.

I have an example of exactly the same badge and I more than happy with it. But please be aware the mark M1/25 does appear on some excellant copy badges. The give away is found on the front.

I am happy to put this badge in a unknown quantity area till I can find out more information regarding its history, I really hope its original and not a quality fake.
To DanCz please could you p.m. me on what you have observed on the front of a fake m1/25

The main defect is the lack of a hyphen between the LS of National Socialist. The badge is also made from a very lightweight silver alloy, however the enamel work is very good.

Hope this clears up any confusion. The badge you show is good - I have exactly the same one in my collection. It was was one of the first things I purchased in 1972 - - it cost me just ******163;1 (the equilalent of 10 pints of beer at that time !!)
