    Hj Badge with strange needle?

I assume that this is some kind of HJ competition winner badge? I have never seen this type of needle system? Could anyone else shed some more light on it? Cheers and thanks, Torsten.

That is the normal needle setup for this badge, reason behind it I haven't a clue other than it being a quick cheap method of attachment.

does not strike as a very secure method of attaching a badge? There is nothing to retain it on the cloth? That is why I was wondering how it was used? I thought that maybe it was not for attaching to cloth? Cheers, Torsten.

Hi Guys looks ok to me seen this type of set up before and like Chris has already mention fixed to the lapel and in some cases the cap but with the pins protected. All the best

thank you for your answers...no question on originality here, but functionality...from what I can see, it is only the 1938 version of the HJ sports winner badge that has this set-up. All other years have standard pins. Cheers, Torsten.
