    Help authenticate SS/ Hat pins...

Are these pins authentic. I could not get the photo of the reverse side of the Zieg Heil pin to copy, but it has a screw back and appears to be a hat badge???

    Thanks
    Charlie

    Hello Charlie...
I bidded on a same SS pin some weeks ago..and then found out there werent such ss pins marked with a RZM number, and it seems they are based on the SS-Zivilabzeichen pin..... so as far as im concern...its a fanatasy pieces (post-war) Check out this link:

The one pictured is could be described a fantasy piece as it isn't really based on anything period, only loosely similar to the civil pin.

    Cheers

And the other pin, ive never seen it before...maybe also a fantasy pin, polish fantasy piece [Not 100% sure] , See this: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=163323

Just found this info in the Wikipedia: "The NSDAP (Nazi Party) made a pin badge in 1933 displaying a victory wreath, the Swastika, and the words "Sieg Heil"."

So i dont know really....maybe there is a pin like yours, like ive said, im not sure about that one

      Hello Guys,
Both are bad. The 'Sieg Heil' badge is from Eastern Europe and is a fantasy piece. The SS is also a fantasy with the wrong pattern and markings, but I don't know where these are produced.

I concur with the others, SS pin fake/fantasy, very loosely based on the civil pin, the other a total fantasy.

        Sorry
