    Golden party pin question

    hello,

    as most of you know im a RAD collector so im outta my league here,i was curious if there were Golden party pins with no maker mark?i got one yesterday that came on a RAD officers uniform,i looked at the golden party pin website and checked the fakes,it was not pictured there,the o is correct (round not ovel) and the dash seprateing national from sozialistische is over the L in national,it has no makers mark just the number 34768.there are no marks on the back were machine marks were ground off etc.

        An outright fake, several obvious features which are indications of concern as per previous threads.

          Some 30mm and 24mm Deschler Badges did not have MM's and some did. The 24mm Fuess Badge was always Maker Marked unless the pin attachment had been replaced. Post a pic!

              Yes, a fake. It has one of the better fronts, but these ones usually are all in gold with no silvering of the swastika or lettering. I believe these are cast from an original, so they are pretty accurate, but a little fuzzy in the details.

              The back has a squarish pinplate, which is wrong, and the numbers are not the kind usually encountered.

              Real gold party badges are sometimes not maker marked. Often the large ones were only maker marked on the pinplate itself. You can see a selection of backs on my Gold Party Badge website here: http://www.geocities.com/goldpartypin/backs.htm

              I think your fake it is pictured in the fake Hitler's badge section at the bottom of this page:
              http://www.geocities.com/goldpartypin/hitlerbadge.htm, except the back on the one I show has been custom engraved to appear like Hitler's own GPB and not numbered.

                thanks guys for the input,i had a feeling it was no good,i paid the price of a officers tunic without the badges,the uniform came with a fake EK1,fake wound badge,this pin and a IAB that im pretty sure is a quality fake IAB,i just wanted to be 100% sure before i sold them as repros,i would be upset if i sold a badge for $20 and it turned out to be the real deal!
