        My thoughts exactly...

Although yours appears nicely aged.... the thread seemed to make it sound like they're all bad...

          thanks for the input...
i am familiar with the Hochland and the red cross as mentioned.,...the aging on this badge is incredibly well done..... from the thread i dont think it was definitive...not much invested...and the antique dealer had only this for items from the 3rd reich...
does anyone have the tinnies from this event???

There is no written evidence of these badges being authentic or fantasy. There is a tinnie version of this exact badge which I have owned and have no doubts about its authenticity. I have encountered bronze, silver, and gold versions of the above mentioned badge. The silver turning up the least. People have compared the enamel work as being of Austrian Mfg., common on fantasy badges---giving everyone the "fantasy" bug. I have found these in gem mint state--and also very well aged. I personally like the badge---fantasy or not, we must come to our own conclusions until evidence is proven....

I believe the enamel badges are fantasy pieces,These were made by Floch and have fooled many people. Here is the HJ Tinnie that I have in my collection.
